We are very excited to announce that in advance of the July 26th release of Soft Cell’s live album and film ‘Say Hello Wave Goodbye’ we will be launching the project with a film premiere at the Everyman KIng’s Cross cinema on Monday July 15th.
The premiere will be attended by Marc and Dave, who will walk the red carpet before the film and will introduce the showings in the two main screens, and one pair of lucky ticket purchasers will be selected at random to win a meet and greet with them before the show.
We will have a DJ playing before and after the films are shown and the bars will be open for drinks and special Soft Cell cocktails.
Tickets are on sale now and you can find the ticket link, plus lots more information about the event on the FILM PREMIERE page.
We are delighted to announce that the standard retail editions of Soft Cell’s much anticipated live album and film – including a brand new 2CD/DVD set – will be in the shops from July 26th and are AVAILABLE FOR PRE-ORDER NOW alongside the previously announced deluxe editions.
Here’s a peep inside the releases, this is ‘Bedsitter’ live from The O2 in London…
Soft Cell have today revealed more details about the limited-edition 7″ vinyl EP which will accompany their previously announced photo-book ‘To Show You I’ve Been There’ which will be published in May.
Entitled ‘Magick Mutants’, the exclusive EP will feature four previously unreleased tracks: three brand new re-workings of the early Soft Cell classics ‘Bleak Is My Favourite Cliche’, ‘Science Fiction Stories’ and ‘The Girl With The Patent Leather Face’, alongside a cover of the late Fad Gadget’s seminal 1979 single ‘Back To Nature’, and the EP release is also dedicated to Fad Gadget who studied alongside Marc Almond and Dave Ball at Leeds Polytechnic.
In order to preserve audio quality the four tracks on the vinyl EP will be edited versions, however all purchasers will receive a code which will allow them access to downloads of the four full-length tracks, as well as the edited versions.
Intended as a sequel to 1980’s ‘Mutant Moments’ release, the new EP will feature artwork by the band’s Dave Ball, also who created the ‘Mutant Moments’ sleeve.
Please note that neither the ‘Magick Mutants’ EP or the downloads will be available to buy independently from the ‘To Show You I’ve Been There’ book which is limited to just 1300 copies, and no further pressings will ever be made.
This is Soft Cell’s performance of ‘What’ from London’s O2 Arena in September 2018.
The track is taken from the live ‘Say Hello Wave Goodbye: The O2 London’ releases which will be released in deluxe formats – including CD, DVD, Blu-Ray and download alongside a live audio album, a special collector’s boxset and a range of merchandise items – before standard retail editions hit the shops later this year.
